Meet our new board members

We have two new board members we’re excited to welcome!

Jaime Beenen

As a dedicated advocate and board member for Disability Empowerment Center, Jaime strives to amplify the voice of people with disabilities.  As a new mother with a spinal cord injury,  she brings a personal perspective, ensuring that these families are represented and supported. At the University of Washington, she contributes to spinal cord stimulation research, supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries.

John F. Gibbs

John is a nonprofit operations leader advancing employment for people who are blind, drawing on 20+ years of U.S. Army leadership and global oil‑and‑gas program management. He has expanded Lighthouse retail operations, led international asset‑integrity projects and built high‑performing teams across military, corporate and mission‑driven environments.
