Here are a few things we’re especially proud of from the past year:

  • Our staff developed and launched Community Bridge, a new program that helps patients who are hospitalized and have a new disability manage the transition after they are discharged.

  • We shared information about accessible voting options to make sure everyone in King County had the tools they needed to exercise their right to vote.

  • Our staff joined disability advocates from across the country at the National Conference on Independent Living in Washington D.C. We met with legislators, championed accessibility and marched despite a summer rainstorm.

  • We became a new provider of the Community Inclusion Program through the King County Developmental Disability Administration. Our staff provide individualized services to help people with disabilities access community-based activities that help build important social connections and relationships.

  • We distributed free bus tickets to participants through our partnership with the Human Services Bus Ticket Program.

  • With a goal of improving accessibility, we added more ADA parking spots and Braille signage at our Seattle office.
